Nathalie Hunter collaborated in two of the productions in the upcoming children’s festival ‘Storm Op Komst’ (Storm Ahead) in De Warande, Turnhout, B:
She made the decor and video that accompanies Levente Kende playing Bela Bartok’s ‘Mikrokosmos’:
Béla Bartók is perhaps the composer for children par excellence. Pianist Levente Kende is very close to Bartók, not only because of his Hungarian descent but also because of the importance he attaches to music education. He plays Bartók for children, as a prelude to his tour with the complete piano works of this great man.
and
also made the decor and video for the collaboration with Champ d’Action ‘Onderweg’ (On the road):
Stage director Nathalie Roymans, visual artist Nathalie Hunter and four musicians from Champ d’Action are on a three year journey with children. Half way, they stand still and think about what it means: being on the go. This was the starting point for a composition of Stefan Prins. However, not everything in it is fixed. Both players and spectators are in for a surprise.
